Alyssa Eroa has officially wrapped up her run with the Galeries Tower Highrisers, parting ways with the team that helped her rise as one of PVL's most formidable defensive specialists.

The announcement on Monday, April 7 marked the end of a chapter that saw Eroa evolve into the heart of the Highrisers’ defense—and more importantly, as the Best Libero in the 2023 PVL Reinforced Conference.

Eroa’s departure opens the door for other teams in need of a steady, battle-tested libero who thrives under pressure and brings out the best in a team’s floor defense.

At just 28, the former San Sebastian College-Recoletos standout is in her prime and still has plenty to give. So where could she land next?

Here are five PVL teams that could use Eroa’s steady presence:

1. ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles

As a relatively new franchise still building its core identity, ZUS Coffee would benefit immensely from an experienced libero like Eroa.

Her experience and defensive IQ can help solidify the backline while setting the tone for a team still in the process of finding its rhythm.

With promising attackers already in the fold such as Jovelyn Gonzaga, Chai Troncoso, Thea Gagate, and Chinnie Arroyo, having Eroa as an anchor could give the Thunderbelles a much-needed boost in consistency.

2. Nxled Chameleons

The Chameleons have shown flashes of brilliance, but their defense has often been inconsistent.

Bringing in Eroa could help stabilize their first line of coverage, giving setters Jaja Maraguinot and Maji Mangulabnan a better chance to distribute the ball to Chiara Permentilla, EJ Laure, and Lycha Ebon.

With a high pick in the upcoming PVL Draft, coach Ettore Guidetti could finally see his team have a winning conference ahead.

3. Capital1 Solar Spikers

Like Galeries a year ago, Capital1 is in a rebuilding phase, and Eroa would be an ideal cornerstone.

Her leadership and relentless work ethic could serve as the team’s backbone, especially with coach Roger Gorayeb emphasizing grit and discipline.

If Capital1 is looking to emulate the rise Galeries had, signing the libero who helped make it happen might be a wise step.

4. Farm Fresh Foxies

Farm Fresh has been steadily improving, but its young roster could use a calming veteran presence on defense.

Eroa's court sense and poise under pressure would complement the Foxies’ youthful energy, and her presence could help bring balance to a team still trying to find its defensive identity.

Wherever Alyssa Eroa ends up, one thing is certain: she’ll bring grit, stability, and proven leadership.

After proving she can lead a rising team from the shadows into relevance, the former Best Libero is now poised to be a game-changer for any PVL squad ready to level up.
