EJ Laure is juggling wedding preparations, motherhood, and her volleyball commitments with the Nxled Chameleons as she prepares to marry long-time partner Bugoy Cariño in March.
EJ Laure is proving she can handle it all—balancing wedding preparations, motherhood, and professional volleyball as she embarks on a new chapter in her personal and athletic life.
The soon-to-be bride is set to marry her long-time partner, former child star Bugoy Cariño, in March.
Despite her busy schedule, Laure remains committed to her volleyball duties with her new team, the Nxled Chameleons, in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Laure made her Chameleons debut last January 18, contributing eight points in a tough loss to the Farm Fresh Foxies, 22-25, 24-26, 21-25.
Nevertheless, former Chery Tiggo star is determined to help her new team bounce back from a 0-6 start in the PVL All-Filipino.
“Hindi ako nakaka-attend minsan ng training pero nagdo-double time ako para maka-catch up sa na-miss kong training,” Laure told reporters after the match. “Siguro kapag kunwari may meetings regarding sa wedding after the training [na lang].”

Laure, who has been hands-on with the wedding preparations, expressed her excitement for the date to come.
“Sobrang excited kasi hands-on din ako with this wedding,” said Laure.
“Meron naman akong wedding coordinator na sumasalo ng ibang kastressan ko so ok lang,” she laughingly said.
Laure and Cariño have been together since 2016 during her collegiate days with the University of Santo Tomas. The couple share a daughter, Scarlett, who is now seven years old.
As Laure balances her responsibilities on and off the court, her big day awaits as she opens a new chapter in her life in 2025.
