Fifi Sharma thanks La Salle, explains fearless decision to 'step outside and feel the grass'

Fifi Sharma thanks La Salle, explains fearless decision to
UAAP

If you asked Fifi Sharma months ago if she had plans to jump to the pros this year, the response would most likely be in the negative.

But the unexpected happened, and Sharma turned from an energetic De La Salle Lady Spiker to a PVL newbie with the Akari Chargers.

In a lengthy Instagram post on Thursday, she admitted she didn’t see this one coming.

“No one saw it coming, even I didn’t see it coming. Life takes you by surprise, and when that happens, it requires you to make a decision. A decision you aren’t ready to make yet. But we are hardly ever ready in life,” she said.

Among the people she thanked was La Salle coach Ramil de Jesus, who led the Taft-based squad to the UAAP championship in Season 85.

“And thank you Coach Ramil, for taking a chance on me. Lord knows where I’ll be if not for the opportunities you have opened for me,” she said.

Sharma was just grateful to everyone who had been part of her collegiate volleyball journey.

“Nothing but overflowing love and gratitude for the six years that have shaped and led me to where I am now and where I am heading to,” she added.

Fearless and full of swag on the court, Sharma also had a couple of profound advice for everyone.

“If there’s anything I can leave you with, I want to remind you to be fearless. Do not be afraid to chase after the things that speak to your soul. And absolutely do not be afraid to be unapologetically yourself when doing them,” Sharma wrote further.

“There is no room for fear in this very short life we were granted. There is so much more life outside of the house, do not be afraid to step outside and feel the grass.”

She ended her post by reiterating she will always look good in green.

“Once a Lady Spiker, always a Lady Spiker,” she concluded.

So, yes, believe it now. Sharma is officially a proone who will bleed green forever, it appears.

And, best of all, she seems to have done things her way.
