Choco Mucho Flying Titans captain Bea de Leon continues to show that she’s a leader off the court, too.

Fans already know of the Bea de Leon Scholarship program, which already has one scholar who is now reaping the benefit of studying college at the Ateneo de Manila University for free.

However, Bea has just proven that she is also scholarship material herself. Back in her collegiate days in Ateneo, she was a consistent dean’s lister when she took up her Management Economics degree. She didn’t stop there—as she went on to study a master’s degree in Sustainability Management, still in Loyola Heights.

And on Sunday, de Leon has announced that she has completed her master’s journey.

“Made it here somehow! Thank you to everyone who helped me along the way,” she wrote on her Instagram post.

You might ask, what is Sustainability Management?

The degree falls under the Department of Leadership and Strategy at Ateneo’s John Gokongwei School of Management. It “hopes to integrate the sustainability perspective into the practice of management, while contributing to the literature of management science in the Philippines.”

Graduates of this degree should be able to develop systems that will pave the way for outcomes like “implementation of sustainability vision and strategy” and “minimization of ecological footprint.”

Bea, 26, is obviously still in her athletic prime and has a lot more years left in her pro volleyball career. Yet, it looks like she is getting ready to wear other professional hats early. Things that only a certified leader does.

Congratulations, Bea!
