Of course, it’s volleyball-themed.
Recently, a Choco Mucho Flying Titan in Bea de Leon showed off her new master’s degree in Sustainability Management, proving to the world that she is more than just a volleyball player—not that we didn’t already know about it.
Now, another Flying Titan in Deanna Wong is telling us wearing different hats while playing in the PVL might be commonplace in their team. Or maybe, it has to do with the Ateneo blood of both players? Whatever it is, it’s not really a surprise.
Be that as it may, Wong embarking on a new venture—a coffee shop in Pasig City—is a big deal.
The said coffee place, called Spiker's Coffeehouse, has been seen on social media in the last few weeks. But on Sunday, Wong officially opened their store along C. Raymundo.
“Grateful for another blessing, another opportunity, and another chance at life,” Wong wrote on Instagram. “Officially open!”
Of course, her teammates like de Leon and Cherry Rondina sent their congratulations on this milestone, as a priest led the ceremony to open the place through a blessing.
Even if she’s Atenean, Wong’s coffee shop has a color theme of green and wood. True to its name, the store also displays some volleyballs and jerseys of popular players, including that of Creamline Cool Smasher and another former Blue Eagle, Alyssa Valdez.
It’s evident that Wong, who’s fondly called Boss D by fans, is proud of the accomplishment. But it’s only the start of her business.
With the volleyball community behind her, it also won’t be surprised if the Spiker's Coffeehouse does well.
