Sisi Rondina exploded for 29 points off 25 attacks and 4 aces. Cherry Nunag bagged Player of the Game honors with 13 points that included 4 blocks. Des Cheng and Caitlin Viray contributed 12 points apiece.

The Choco Mucho Flying Titans sure looked like a team on a mission on Saturday against the Petro Gazz Angels.

After going the distance against the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers last Tuesday, the Flying Titans figured in another five-set thriller. This time, they went on to finish the job, 25-22, 25-15, 22-25, 18-25, 15-10.

“Mindset is bumawi. Talagang kapitan namin and ipaglaban ‘yung mga kasama namin,” Viray told reporters after the game at the PhilSports Arena.

“May mga sets din na nakaka-upset pero ang ginawa namin is bounce back talaga. Bawi sa isa’t isa. [We] got each other’s backs,” said Rondina.

For Coach Dante Alinsunurin, the successes of their team this PVL Invitational Conference are fruits of their labor.

“Sa mga bagay na tinatrabaho namin nung training, talagang lumabas talaga sila,” Alinsunurin explained.

“Total team effort talaga ‘yung nangyari,” he added.

With Rondina leading a recharged squad, fans have reason to be excited as the team closes in on its first-ever semifinal stint in the PVL.

“Unti-unti naming ine-establish ‘yung Choco Mucho dito sa PVL. ‘Di naman kami nagmamadali pero sa sitwasyon na ‘to kailangan naming unti-unting magparamdam sa mga ibang teams na ang Choco Mucho ay unti-unti nang umaangat in terms of mga skills and anuman ‘yung gusto naming gawin sa court,” Coach Dante stated.

With this win, three teams in Pool B now have identical 3-1 win-loss cards. Choco Mucho sits at second, behind the Cignal HD Spikers and ahead of F2 Logistics when the points are taken into account. Only the first and second seeds will advance.

Cignal and Choco Mucho, both out to solidify their hold in the semifinal slots, are set to clash on Tuesday, 4 p.m.
