Cignal HD Spikers ace Ces Molina walked towards center court teary-eyed as fans and players alike at the PhilSports Arena applauded.

On Sunday night, Molina received the PVL Invitational Conference MVP award—the first ever in her remarkable volleyball career.

“Sorry naiiyak po ako. This is my first MVP,” she said before kicking off her thank you speech.

“Allow me to thank everyone behind this award, my Cignal family, mga teammates and coaches ko. And sa lahat ng PVL fans, maraming salamat for supporting us sa buong liga. Maraming salamat sa mga bosses namin.”

Molina’s coronation highlighted the awarding of individual honors that also saw Creamline Cool Smashers Tots Carlos, Alyssa Valdez, and Ced Domingo win the Best Opposite Hitter, Best Outside Hitter, and Best Middle Blocker awards, respectively.

Gel Cayuna, Molina's teammate at Cignal, took home the Best Setter award while Kath Arado of the PLDT High Speed Hitters won Best Libero. Majoy Baron, on the other hand, copped the other Best Middle Blocker award.

Tamaru Asaka was also awarded the Best Outside hitter honors after leading the Kurashiki Ablaze to the midseason’s conference championship unscathed.

It was setter Kyoka Ohshima, though, who got the nod as finals MVP after the Ablaze's epic 19-25, 25-23, 25-19, 20-25, 15-13 victory versus the Cool Smashers to culminate the PVL Invitational Conference in style.
