It’s official.

The PVL will have a third conference this year, however, there will be no reinforcements involved.

PVL president Ricky Palou announced to the media on Thursday that due to some complications, the Reinforced Conference will instead be an All-Filipino tilt, a repeat of the first tournament this season.

Palou explained that they encountered a hurdle in proceeding with the usual season-ending conference, citing that the FIVB denied the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) and PVL's request for international transfer certificates (ITC) needed for potential imports of the clubs.

“According to the PNVF president Mr. [Tats] Suzara, the FIVB is blocking our request for ITCs. So, we're going to proceed with it (Reinforced Conference) but All-Filipino,” said Palou.

The fan who handles the @TEAM_FEU Twitter page proposes a tweak to make things a little bit more interesting.

"What if Open Conference na lang then puwede na sila magsama ng potential recruits (collegiate players) nila sa team and tag them as “guest players”? Para at least may growth 'yung team’s system and players."

Twitter user @beathefan, on the other hand, only has one concern: secure tickets.

Netizen JG just wants to fast forward to the start of the new tourney so she can already see her favorite team, the Cignal HD Spikers.

The PVL recently concluded its Invitational Conference, where the visiting Japanese team Kurashiki Ablaze won the title in an exciting five-setter match against the Creamline Cool Smashers.

As the third conference approaches, the Cool Smashers will have to prepare once more to defend their All-Filipino crown.
