UP Fighting Maroons setter Kamille Cal is about to take her talents to the PVL.
The league’s newest team, Nxled Chameleons, recently announced that the 22-year-old playmaker will become a part of their roster as they make their debut in the season-ending All-Filipino Conference. Playing for the Akari Chargers’ sister team, Cal aims to be a crucial piece in the opening salvo of the freshly minted squad.
The buzz surrounding Cal’s arrival in the PVL is palpable, and the main source of that excitement undoubtedly comes from F2 Logistics Cargo Movers superstar Aby Maraño. On her Instagram, the DLSU Lady Spikers legend gave Cal a warm and sweet welcome to the PVL family.
“Yessir, LFG @kamille_cal,” Maraño wrote over Nxled’s player reveal of Cal.
“Good luck with your new journey as a pro,” the decorated middle-hitter added.
So, why is the F2 captain so hyped with Cal’s jump to the pros, exactly? In case you're clueless because you’re a hermit, Tyang Aby and Kamille are in a relationship. As you can see, Maraño’s latest post shows that she and Cal are going strong. For those in the know, it isn’t surprising at all as the couple never shied away from exchanging sweet messages online.
All that being said, it’s intriguing to see how the two will interact with each other when the Chameleons and the Cargo Movers face off in the PVL. Everybody knows that Maraño is a swag queen. So, will she do one of her trademark celebrations after sending a booming attack in Cal’s way?
