The Chargers are already making Justine feel at home.
The Akari Chargers are charging up big time.
On Thursday, the team formally announced its latest recruit in Justine Jazareno, the reliable libero of the De La Salle Lady Spikers.
And, perhaps unsurprisingly, Jazareno’s new teammates—former fellow Lady Spikers and even rivals from the Ateneo Blue Eagles and Adamson Lady Falcons—are all fired up.
Faith Nisperos, for one, is just glad she and Jazareno won’t be on opposing sides of the net anymore starting next PVL conference, as she posted an Instagram Story of Akari’s fire announcement of their new signing.
“Salamat, teammate na kita,” Nisperos wrote in her caption.
Curiously, it seems there’s one interesting reason why the Chargers are quite happy with the official announcement—and it does not have anything to do with volleyball. Rather, it has something to do with gaining—ahem!—the freedom to post their pictures and TikTok videos with the newest Charger.
Fifi Sharma, who signed with the Chargers just last conference and will debut in the next tournament, already had one photo reserved for this occasion, apparently, and it is a rather unflattering photo of Jazareno. Naturally, Fifi posted it in her Instagram Story, with a fitting caption, of course.
“Yes, pwede ko na ‘to i-post. Welcome to black pink @ylizeth.justine. Excited to play with you again,” Sharma wrote.
Fifi also posted the same photo Nisperos posted, only this time, she had some instructions for the former Blue Eagle: “Post mo na ‘yung TikTok natin.”
