Are the Lady Troopers making a comeback?
PVL teams have been ramping up their preparations for the upcoming PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Aside from their regular training, teams have also been engaging in friendly tune-up game matches to make sure they are well-prepared for the start of the conference.
That’s exactly what the Akari Chargers have been doing, who are looking to bounce back from their 10th-place finish in the Invitational Conference.
In the team’s social media pages, the Chargers recently played against the Army Lady Troopers, who have been out of the league since the start of the 2023 season due to a lack of players.
Fresh faces like Fifi Sharma and Justine Jazareno of the De La Salle Lady Spikers have already been integrating themselves with the Chargers.
But what’s more surprising in the photo is the presence of Jovelyn Gonzaga, who now plays for the Cignal HD Spikers, as well as Royse Tubino of the PLDT High Speed Hitters.
Does this mean that Army is finally back in the PVL? Well, not quite.
The team is not registered in the upcoming All-Filipino conference, but their playing a friendly match against Akari should bode well for a possible return to the league.
Fans will certainly want the Lady Troopers back in action and maybe see the likes of Gonzaga and Tubino back with the team.
