It’s no secret that Alyssa Valdez is a fierce competitor when she’s on the court.
Many have tried and many have failed in trying to beat Valdez, but her latest battle might be one that she can’t overcome.
In her Instagram story, Valdez posted a photo of her inside an ice bath. The Creamline Cool Smashers star seemingly admitted defeat against her cold-blooded opponent.
“Who is she? Ice bath - 2, Alyssa - 0,” Valdez wrote in her caption.
Kidding aside, Valdez and the rest of the Cool Smashers have been preparing hard to defend their PVL All-Filipino title.
This time, however, they will be without their superstar setter Jia Morado, who has been adjusting nicely to her new team in Japan.
But don’t expect the Cool Smashers to give up their crown that easily, especially with a still-loaded roster that includes Valdez herself.
If ice baths will be what it takes for Valdez to keep herself ready for games, then expect more IG stories of her inside one in the coming weeks and months.
