In a surprise announcement, the Creamline Cool Smasher revealed that prized middle blocker Ced Domingo is set to leave the champion squad to play overseas.

"Creamline management has carefully considered Ceddie's request to play for a foreign team, and has granted her permission to pursue her dreams abroad," the Cool Smashers management posted on its social media accounts.

Creamline did not share where Domingo will play but assured they are supporting her in the huge leap in her professional career.

"While this decision impacts our own team's title chances, we believe that supporting her in achieving her personal goals and in being recognized as one of a handful of Filipina volleyball players to be invited as a foreign reinforcement is an important part of our commitment to her growth," Creamline said.

"We want to ensure that Ced has the chance to explore and experience the world of volleyball to its fullest."

Domingo will be the second Cool Smasher to leave the ladies in pink to pursue a career abroad following the footsteps of Jia de Guzman who now plays in Japan.
