Trisha Tubu admits she still gets bashed, remains defiant in drowning out hate
PVL

Trisha Tubu continues to turn heads in the PVL with the Farm Fresh Foxies.

The 23-year-old spiker has been a steady contributor for the young squad. Though they have yet to win in seven games in the PVL 2nd All-Filipino Conference, they pushed the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers to the limit in their last game. At the center of it all was—guess who—Tubu.

The former Adamson Lady Falcon exploded for 30 points, albeit in a losing effort. Still, she earned the praise and respect of fans.

While Tubu admitted that there’s still noise here and there, the high-flying rising star prefers to focus on the outpouring of love and positivity she gets from supporters.

“Ibang iba po ito sa kinatatakutan ko na puro bashing matatanggap ko 'pag pinagpatuloy ko maglaro,” Tubu said in an Instagram post by Farm Fresh.

“Meron pa rin naman mga masakit magsalita pero parang nalunod na sila nung nagpapaabot ng love at suporta,” she added.

 She deserves all of it.

Even during her brief stint in the UAAP, Tubu was the subject of ridicule from opposing fans because of her physical attributes. She admitted getting hurt by it, but she also soldiered on, saying she used the hate as motivation to work even harder.

Tubu is expected to take the same major role again for the Foxies, as they look to finally chalk up win number one against the beleaguered Gerflor Defenders this Tuesday.
