Perhaps they’ll be there for each other (when the rain starts to pour).
Creamline Cool Smashers stalwart Jema Galanza and Choco Mucho Flying Titans star Bea de Leon have several things in common.
One, they’re both crowd favorites.
Two, they’re both good spikers.
Three, they’re both fans of the popular American sitcom Friends.
Unfortunately, both also might still be processing the untimely passing of one of the show’s most beloved cast members in Matthew Perry. He died last October 28 at the age of 54.
On Friends, Perry’s character was Chandler, the sarcastic but charismatic love interest of Monica, played by Courtney Cox. Millions of Friends fans around the world are still reeling from the tragic incident. It won’t be a surprise at all if the two PVL stars are still trying to move on.
On Thursday, Galanza and de Leon came across an Instagram post from Friends actress Jennifer Aniston. It included a screenshot of a heart-warming text exchange between her and Perry.
One could just imagine how the Creamline ace and the Choco Mucho captain must’ve felt as they posted it on their respective Instagram Stories.
Bea, who achieved an important moment earlier this year, went first.
Jema followed a few hours later, adding a sad emoji.

Aniston played Rachel, who’s another favorite among Friends followers. Her post was dedicated to her real-life friendship with Perry.
“Oh boy this one has cut deep. Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an insane wave of emotions that I’ve never experienced before,” she wrote.
Pretty soon, Galanza and de Leon will have to shift their focus to help their squads in the ongoing PVL All-Filipino Conference. And maybe even dedicate a win for Perry?
