The Nxled Chameleons have laid down the foundations for a successful squad.
Jho Maraguinot and Lycha Ebon didn't find much success in their stay with the Akari Chargers, mostly because they were almost always buried in the bench and could never get meaningful minutes at a consistent basis. But fast forward to now and a change in scenario with sister team Nxled Chameleons has definitely made a world of difference for the two players.
Now under Japanese coach Taka Minowa, Maraguinot and Ebon are slowly reaching heights that looked previously unattainable.

After wrapping up the conference with a 5-6 win-loss record, the two hugged it out as Ebon cried her emotions out.
"Full circle moment. If you know, you know. I love you, Ebon," Maraguinot said in an Instagram Story.
Ebon responded with, "I love you so much te."
The spiker also did not offer any explanation why she was emotional.
"'Wag na magtanong bakti ako umiyak. Mahabang storya 'yan."
The Chameleons did not make it to the semifinals of the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference, but there's optimism that the new PVL franchise will grow into a contender soon with their Japanese coach and a young core with Maraguinot and Ebon as foundational pieces.
