Business as usual for the Cool Smashers.
From the outside looking in, it certainly looks like the Creamline Cool Smashers got weaker on paper with the departure of Jia de Guzman and Ced Domingo, who both left to play as imports overseas.
But the defending champions have proven yet again what their team is all about after going unbeaten in the elimination round of the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference and then sweeping the Chery Tiggo Crossovers in the semifinals.
So much for being a weaker team, right?

Creamline star Tots Carlos is not surprised that the Cool Smashers are doing well, praising coach Sherwin Meneses' system, which has led the Cool Smashers to multiple championships—plus another one potentially in the offing sans two of the team's pillars in de Guzman and Domingo.
"Hindi kasi, ‘yung team kasi iba ‘yung mindset, and ‘yung sistema ni coach Sherwin, sobrang pasok siya sa aming lahat. Paulit-ulit niyang sinasabi na sistema ‘yung ginagamit, totoo naman kasi," Carlos told reporters after the Cool Smashers booked their finals ticket.
"‘Yung mga players, maganda ‘yung mindset, maganda ‘yung pagka-competitive. Honestly, before the season started, excited ako kasi makakapag-explore pa kami and makikita pa namin kung hanggang saan kaya namin."
The Cool Smashers are now waiting for the winner between the Choco Mucho Flying Titans and the Cignal HD Spikers in the other semifinals bracket.
Whoever comes out of that series will surely have their hands full against Creamline in the finals, and that's mainly due to the championship mindset and system of the ladies in pink.
