Why Maddie Madayag is confident in Choco Mucho's future after falling short in PVL finals

Why Maddie Madayag is confident in Choco Mucho
PVL

Almost but not yet.

The Choco Mucho Flying Titans were within grasp of the franchise's first-ever PVL title but were given baptism by fire in their first finals appearance as the veteran squad of Creamline Cool Smashers prevailed in two games.

The PVL Second All-Filipino Conference run though remains Choco Mucho's best outing since joining the league in 2019.

For middle blocker Maddie Madayag, the Flying Titans will continue to trend upwards after having a taste of what it takes to reach the mountaintop.

"Very grateful lang kami na at least everything is coming together na, and nakikita mo na talaga na iba na ‘yung galawa ng Choco Mucho," Madayag told reporters.

Madayag believes they have already proven themselves to be among the elite in the league. Choco Mucho finished the conference with a 10-1 record in the elimination round, losing only to Creamline.

"Kung paano ‘yung last game namin this year, it’s a statement to all the teams na hindi kami basta-basta lang," she said.

"I guess siguro we’re one of the teams to beat na coming into the next conference. It doesn’t stop there, patuloy lang kami."

Choco Mucho will only grow stronger with experience on their side and ever-growing confidence after the trip to the finals.
