Akari may have secured its breakthrough win in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference in dominant fashion, but team captain Michelle Cobb insists that the Chargers are still far from their peak form.

The Chargers belted the Farm Fresh Foxies with a straight-set whipping to arrest their two-game losing start on Tuesday night.

Akari asserted dominance over Farm Fresh on all fronts, putting up a 47-33 attacking disparity, 11-3 blocking gap, and 4-2 service ace differential.

Still, despite a convincing outing, Cobb, who orchestrated the offense to the tune of 16 excellent sets, pointed out that the Chargers are still amping up the wattage.

"Hindi ko rin kasi tinatanim sa isip ko na okay na kami kasi every training kasi may natutunan akong bago lalo na sa mga new players namin," the 5-foot-4 playmaker said.

"Marami pa kami matututunan sa bawa't isa na pwede naming maayos pa," she added.

True enough, Akari is still adjusting to the integration of Ced Domingo, who arrived in the country on February 20 and had her first practice session with the team three days later.

Nonetheless, the Chargers have been sparing no effort in refining their form in hopes of peaking at the right time.

"Given na nagkakakilala pa kami sa isa’t isa in terms of composition, in terms of yung mga galaw ng bawat isa, at the end of the day, depende rin yun sa kung same ba kami ng pupuntahan, same ba kami ng goal. Lumabas naman siya," Cobb shared.

"So for me, ongoing process yan all the time and sana yung peak namin hindi ngayon kundi sa dulo."
