The Farm Fresh Foxies caught a big fish on Saturday night.

In a display of grit and unwavering resolve, the Foxies pulled a massive upset of the stacked Chery Tiggo Crossovers via a resounding 25-23, 25-22, 25-16 sweep.

This is the first time Farm Fresh took down a perennial contender, as the Foxies previous wins came at the expense of fellow league newcomers.

So, it should not come as a surprise that Trisha Tubu could not help but feel elated.

Tubu carried the cudgels with a game-high 18 points, all but one coming from attacks.

Chinnie Arroyo provided ample support with 11 markers, while Rizza Cruz pitched in nine. Seven other Foxies also chipped in at least a point in the winning cause.

At the center of the scoring thrust was team captain Louie Romero, who flaunted her playmaking brilliance to the tune of 27 excellent sets.

It was a total team effort Farm Fresh, and Tubu  was quick to cast the spotlight on their coaching staff and team owner Frank Lao.

The Foxies have been putting to heart the lessons being imparted by Japanese mentors Hideo Suzuki and Shimizu Mikihiro.

With an enhanced system in place, Farm Fresh is steadily developing into a much cohesive unit.

"Actually po 'yung training namin is more on basics po talaga tapos specific ang bawal instruction.

Lahat nagsasalita, nagco-communicate.

Tubu hopes Farm Fresh can build on this resounding victory heading into their match against Petro Gazz on March 14, Thursday.
