Chery Tiggo Crossovers head coach Kungfu Reyes voiced his support for Mylene Paat as she gears up for a second shot at the Korean V-League (KOVO) Women’s Asian Quota Draft.
Mylene Paat is set to try her luck once more in the upcoming 2024 Korean V-League (KOVO) Women’s Asian Quota Draft.
The Chery Tiggo veteran, along with Creamline Cool Smashers’ Tots Carlos and Petro Gazz Angels’ MJ Phillips, will join 33 other hopefuls in showcasing their talents during the tryouts scheduled in Jeju from April 29 to May 1.

Crossovers head coach Kungfu Reyes said he has yet to hear anything regarding the matter from his 5-foot-11 opposite hitter.
But should the former league MVP end up pursuing a career in South Korea, the seasoned tactician takes pride in the honor it would bring to the country.
“Additional feather sa shoulder nila kung di ba, it’s national pride, kung ano man ang plano nila. Pero so far, wala pa naman kaming napag-uusapan,” Reyes said moments after his team beat PLDT in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday.

Paat is no stranger in the international volleyball scene.
The 30-year-old Bani, Pangasinan native had a successful one-year stint with Nakhon Ratchasima VC in the 2021-22 season of the Thailand Volleyball League, where she captured a bronze medal and emerged as the tournament’s best scorer.
This will be Paat's second time vying for a spot in Korea, as she went undrafted in last year’s KOVO selection along with Jia De Guzman, Dindin Santiago-Manabat, Majoy Baron, and Iris Tolenada.
And Reyes extended his support for Paat, wherever her talents may lead her.
“Masaya kami kung ano man magiging decision niya,” Reyes said.
The 2024 Asian Quota Draft will also be Phillips' second shot in the Korean V-League. She made history as the first Filipina to be drafted last year by the Gwangju AI Peppers.
