The 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference was an absolute superstar turn for one Bernadeth Pons.

Taking the lead for Creamline as the Cool Smashers missed the services of not just one, not two, but three MVP spikers, Pons used the import-spiced tournament to re-introduce herself as a true volleyball savant.

Following her success in beach volleyball, the 2024 Reinforced Conference served as Pons’ final transition back to indoor play, where she featured as the main star in Creamline’s latest PVL title.

Pons reset her career-high three times in the Reinforced Conference, and she capped the Cool Smashers’ last two wins for the title with back-to-back triple-doubles, further emphasizing her all-around brilliance.

For her incredible effort, Pons finally lived up to her “MVPons” billing, winning Conference MVP and Finals MVP.

This rare MVP double allowed Pons to join Sachi Minowa as the only pro players to do so.

Back in 2021, the then-Jaja Santiago also won the MVP double when she led the Chery Tiggo Crossovers to the Open Conference title.

In the whole history of the PVL, the MVP double club expands to three members, including Isa Molde who also won the double but while playing for UP in the 2018 Collegiate Conference.
