The Creamline Cool Smashers flexed their muscle once more against the Choco Mucho Flying Titans for a four-set victory in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The Creamline Cool Smashers remain spotless at 3-0 after holding off the Choco Mucho Flying Titans in four sets, 25-22, 25-20, 30-32, 25-20, in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Tuesday, December 3.
The Cool Smashers are now 16-1 when facing the Flying Titans since 2019, with their lone loss coming during the 2024 All-Filipino Conference earlier this year.
After falling short of a comeback bid in the third set, Creamline started slow once more in the fourth after trailing 5-9. Still the Cool Smashers found a way to take the lead at 13-12 after a tip attack by Bernadeth Pons.
Tied at 16-all, the Cool Smashers then pushed ahead to a three-point lead after a double-contact error by Kat Tolentino.
Creamline would build its largest lead at 23-19 after an off-the-block hit by Michele Gumabao.
Pons would send the game into match point, before Royse Tubino’s attack error sealed the win for Creamline.
Jema Galanza powered the Cool Smashers to victory with 24 points on 22 attacks, one block, and one service ace.
Creamline will have another lengthy break before going up against the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles on December 12 at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
Choco Mucho, on the other hand, looks to end its two-game losing skid against the Farm Fresh Foxies also on December 10.
