Here’s a quick look at how their campaigns have unfolded and what to expect as volleyball action returns for 2025.

Chery Tiggo Crossovers (4-2)

Despite the departure of the Laure sisters, the Crossovers have proven that they can still take on some of the best teams in the league.

That’s largely due to the success of new coach Norman Miguel and former NU stars Princess Robles and Jen Nierva.

Add to that are the reliable presence of Ara Galang and Aby Maraño, as well as the steady contributions of Pauline Gaston and Shaya Adorador.

The acquisition of Japanese middle blocker Risa Sato will also certainly boost the Crossovers’ chances as they reinforce their frontline.

Fans will definitely be tuned in to Chery Tiggo’s first match back against fellow contender Petro Gazz Angels on January 21 at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.

PLDT High Speed Hitters (3-2)

The High Speed Hitters have shown flashes of brilliance this conference, leveraging their mix of seasoned players and promising talents.

Behind the star power of Savi Davison and the leadership of Kath Arado, PLDT remains a threat as is as the High Speed Hitters continue to await the return of Kim Fajardo and Kianna Dy.

The goal remains the same for the High Speed Hitters in 2025: to win a PVL title.

Could this finally be the year? We’ll have to wait and see.

PLDT resumes its campaign on January 18 in a highly-anticipated matchup against the Akari Chargers, a rematch of the controversial 2024 Reinforced Conference semifinals.

Akari Chargers (3-3)

Speaking of the Chargers, the Taka Minowa-led squad has been one of the more intriguing teams in the conference, alternating between highs and lows in their six matches.

Akari has relied heavily on Ivy Lacsina and Grethcel Soltones, both of whom have delivered standout performances. However, the team should be looking to integrate Fifi Sharma and Faith Nisperos further, who are coming off their Alas Pilipinas stint.

The Chargers will have plenty to prove this All-Filipino Conference, especially after a successful 2024 campaign.

With a renewed focus, Akari will aim to climb above .500 when the Chargers take on PLDT in the aforementioned grudge match on January 18 at the PhilSports Arena.
