The Creamline Cool Smashers look to assert their dominance in the PVL All-Filipino Conference quarterfinals, while the Chery Tiggo Crossovers aim to defy the odds following their play-in victories.
The Creamline Cool Smashers begin their title defense in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference quarterfinals as they face off against the Chery Tiggo Crossovers in a best-of-three series.
The top-seeded Cool Smashers made quick work of the Nxled Chameleons in the qualifying round, reaffirming their position as the team to beat.
Meanwhile, the Crossovers had to take the long road to the playoffs, grinding through the play-in tournament with wins over Nxled and the Farm Fresh Foxies to claim the lone quarterfinal spot in Pool A.
History, however, favors Creamline in this matchup.
The defending champions swept Chery Tiggo, 25-17, 25-17, 25-21, in their preliminary round encounter with Bea De Leon leading the way with 13 points on eight attacks, two blocks, and three service aces.
Led by their battle-tested core of Alyssa Valdez, Tots Carlos, Jema Galanza, and Kyle Negrito, the Cool Smashers will look to maintain their dominance and move one step closer to another championship.
The Crossovers, however, are no strangers to adversity and pulling off upsets against the Cool Smashers. With momentum from their play-in victories, Ara Galang and Shaya Adorador aim to challenge Creamline and pull off an upset.

The series will also feature Risa Sato facing off against her former squad after missing out during the preliminaries encounter.

Game 1 of the quarterfinal series is set to begin on March 18, with Chery Tiggo hoping to rewrite the script and Creamline determined to continue its mastery.
