The Akari Chargers eye a strong start to their PVL All-Filipino Conference quarterfinal campaign as they face the upstart Galeries Tower Highrisers in a best-of-three series.
The Akari Chargers set their sights on a return to the semifinals as they take on the Galeries Tower Highrisers in Game 1 of the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference quarterfinals at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Saturday, March 15.
The Chargers secured their playoff spot with a five-set victory over the Farm Fresh Foxies in the qualifying round.
Now, they look to continue their strong run behind Faith Nisperos, Ivy Lacsina, Eli Soyud, and the returning Grethcel Soltones.
Nisperos will be a crucial piece for Akari, who will need the extra firepower to take down the gritty Galeries Tower.
She, along with Lacsina and Soyud, have been among the most reliable attackers for the Taka Minowa-led squad this conference.

With Justine Jazareno anchoring the floor defense and Fifi Sharma adding a presence at the net, the Chargers have all the pieces to make another deep playoff push.
Determined to take the next step, Akari will look to impose their experience and firepower against the upstart Highrisers.
