Chie Saet is determined to lead the Petro Gazz Angels to their first PVL All-Filipino Conference title, hoping to leave a lasting legacy once she decides to call it quits.
Chie Saet and the Petro Gazz Angels are one step closer to their championship aspirations in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The veteran setter earned Player of the Game honors after delivering 20 excellent sets and five points in the Angels’ Game 3 quarterfinal victory over the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles, 25-21, 25-21, 25-23, at the PhilSports Arena on Tuesday, March 25.
Coming off the bench throughout the extended conference, Saet was placed into the starting lineup by coach Koji Tsuzurabara in Games 2 and 3, where Petro Gazz truly flexed its prowess against ZUS Coffee.
“Siyempre, happy kasi I'm back inside the court and given the chance again with coach Koji, so I take the responsibility na binigay niya para sakin,” Saet said during the post-game press conference.
At age 40, Saet has achieved nearly everything in her career—from UAAP titles with the DLSU Lady Spikers to PVL championships with the Angels.

With the All-Filipino title yet to be captured by Petro Gazz since joining the league, Saet is more determined than ever—especially as she nears the end of her storied career.
“Siyempre, bilang ate, ito nalang 'yung conference na wala kaming championship. So I want din makuha 'yung championship this All-Filipino. And for them to remember me kasi soon I'll be retiring din, so gusto ko din ibigay 'yung best ko ever game,” Saet bared.
“I keep reminding everyone na we have to push. Nandito na kami eh parang ngayon pa ba kami hihinto?,” she added.
Now heading into the round-robin semifinals, Petro Gazz faces a daunting challenge against Creamline, Choco Mucho, and Akari.
Their first test? A clash with the Cool Smashers at the Ynares Center in Antipolo on Saturday, March 29.
