The race to the PVL All-Filipino Conference Finals remains wide open, with Petro Gazz, Creamline, Akari, and Choco Mucho all vying for a spot heading into the final day of the semifinals.
Even with Petro Gazz’s 2-0 record in the semifinals, the battle for the two Finals spots in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference remains intense.
Creamline, Akari, and Choco Mucho are all still in contention, and multiple scenarios could either send a team straight to the championship or force a playoff.
Here’s what the PVL All-Filipino scenarios could look like come the final semis gameday on Thursday, April 3, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.
Games on Thursday:
Petro Gazz vs Akari – 4:00 p.m.
Creamline vs Choco Mucho – 6:30 p.m.
Scenario 1: Both Petro Gazz and Creamline Win
If Petro Gazz and Creamline both win, regardless of the set scores, they will automatically advance to the Finals.
Petro Gazz will finish with a 3-0 record, while Creamline will secure second place at 2-1 with at least five points.
This scenario eliminates both Akari (1-2) and Choco Mucho (0-3), and no playoffs will be required.

Scenario 2: Petro Gazz Wins, Choco Mucho Wins
If Petro Gazz wins but Choco Mucho also wins, the second Finals slot becomes more complicated.
- If Petro Gazz wins in three or four sets while Choco Mucho wins, a three-way tie at 1-2 between Akari, Choco Mucho, and Creamline will occur.
The top-two teams based on set ratio will then play a do-or-die match to determine the last finalist.
- If Petro Gazz wins in five sets and Choco Mucho wins in three or four sets, only Akari and Choco Mucho will have a playoff since Choco Mucho will finish with four points, while Akari and Creamline will have three points each.
- If both Petro Gazz and Choco Mucho win in five sets, Creamline and Choco Mucho will face off in a playoff for the second Finals slot.

- If Akari wins in three or four sets and Creamline wins, Creamline secures a Finals berth with six points.
However, Petro Gazz and Akari will both finish at 2-1, with Petro Gazz at six points and Akari at five points. This will force a playoff between Petro Gazz and Akari to determine the second finalist.
- If Akari wins in five sets while Creamline wins in three or four sets, Petro Gazz advances outright with seven points, while Creamline and Akari will battle in a playoff for the last Finals spot.
Scenario 4: Akari Wins, Creamline Wins in Five Sets
- If Akari wins in three or four sets while Creamline wins in five sets, Petro Gazz advances outright with six points.
However, Akari and Creamline will both finish at 2-1 with five points, which means another playoff will be necessary to determine the second finalist.
- If Akari and Creamline both win in five sets, Petro Gazz (7 points) will secure a Finals spot, while Creamline (5 points) and Akari (4 points) will meet in a do-or-die match.
