Ishie Lalongisip's stellar second-half campaign for the Cignal HD Spikers in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference bore fruit with the Rookie of the Conference award.
Despite an early exit from the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference, the Cignal HD Spikers had plenty of bright spots during the five-month-long tournament.
Among those is rookie Ishie Lalongisip, who took home the Rookie of the Conference award after spearheading the HD Spikers’ charge in 2025.
With a chip on her shoulder, Lalongisip is using the award as extra motivation for the upcoming conferences.
“Super saya and hindi ko rin alam 'yung feeling ko ngayon pero super thankful ako kasi eto nangyari itong opportunity na ito sakin and dagdag motivation ito for the next conference,” Lalongisip told One Sports.

Lalongisip was asked to take on a bigger role in leading the HD Spikers' scoring due to the sudden departures of Ces Molina and Riri Meneses midway through the conference.
The seventh pick of the 2024 PVL Draft finished the third-best scorer among rookies in the conference, ranking 28th overall with a total of 134 points.
Her best game came during the HD Spikers’ four-set victory over the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles in the preliminary round, where Lalongisip scored a career-high 20 points built on 18 attacks and two service aces.
Cignal will be looking to get back on track after failing to make the quarterfinals in the extended conference.

As early as now, the Shaq Delos Santos-led squad will be looking at Lalongisip to deliver even bigger numbers from here on out—something she’s very much willing to do.
“Parang naka-boost lalo ng confidence ko para mag-work hard pa lalo para din sa team ko,” said Lalongisip.
