Defending champ NU escapes Adamson in five sets but admits frustration

The NU Lady Bulldogs had to dig deep to survive a furious Adamson Lady Falcons comeback in a five-set thriller in the UAAP Women's Volleyball Tournament, 25-22, 25-19, 25-27, 22-25, 15-10.

Leading by only one point in the deciding set, the defending champions banked on a 5-1 run to seal the match via a Camille Lamina ace.

Alyssa Solomon led all scorers with a career-high 28 points. Although, she wasn't thrilled the match went on to a decider.

Lady Bulldog Princess Anne Robles admitted the unbeaten squad may have felt a little frustrated. The Bulldogs are on track to sweep Adamson before the Lady Falcons edged NU in sets three and four.

Magandang experience," Robles said.
