A high five and your own nickname from RDJ? Winner indeed.
Coach Ramil De Jesus has been known to pull some players off the bench to give his team the necessary spark it needs.
That’s exactly what happened in Game 2 of the UAAP Season 85 women’s volleyball finals.
The De La Salle Lady Spikers turned to Maicah Larroza to rally the team back from two sets down—and it paid off.
But did you know that the multi-titled tactician has a unique nickname for his magic bunot?
On her Instagram Story, graduating player Jolina Dela Cruz posted a photo of Larroza high-fiving De Jesus in Game 2 as she greeted her teammate a happy birthday.
Aside from this, Dela Cruz also wrote a trivia about Coach Ramil and Larroza.
“Coach Ramil doesn’t call Micah by her name. He refers to her as 'POGI,'" said Dela Cruz in her post.
Dela Cruz also teased Larroza in the post.
“Grabe ka na! Ikaw ang totoong champion!,” Dela Cruz added.
Larozza would also join in the banter by posting a greeting from Coach Ramil.
Getting a high five from De Jesus is already an award in itself, but also having a nickname from the legendary coach? It’s no wonder why Larroza has been winning as of late.
Given her finals performance, fans can definitely expect La Salle's magic bunot to play more often for the team next season.
