Heartwarming reunion for these UAAP Season 81 teammates.
UAAP Season 81 teammates Dave Ildefonso and Matthew Aquino had quite a reunion on Wednesday, as shared on Instagram.
"NU Legend and Japanese star player Matt 'El Dragon' Aquino," Ildefonso jokingly captioned on Instagram. "Na-miss kita brad."
Aquino didn't fall behind in praising and messing with his former teammate.
"Kasama ang King Eagle and Oppa Korean BBQ," he wrote on Instagram with a laughing emoji.
The two ballers played together for the NU Bulldogs. The son of PBA great Marlou Aquino then eventually headed to the Japan B.League and joined the Shinshu Brave Warriors.
And he also suited up for the Akatsuki Japan during the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
Meanwhile, Ildefonso had transferred to the Ateneo Blue Eagles but announced early this year that he would suit up for the Suwon KT Sonicboom in the Korean Basketball League.
Quite a journey that these two had from playing in Sampaloc!
It didn't stop Aquino from trying to recruit Ildefonso though!
"Nice seeing you. Namiss din kita man," Aquino wrote in a separate story.
"Sunod na dito preee," he added with a Japan flag emoji.
