Casiey Dongallo experienced the fearsome might of defending champion La Salle and its reigning Rookie-MVP Angel Canino on Wednesday.

For the first time in what has been a stellar offensive showing in the UAAP Season 86, Dongallo was limited to "just" 15 points in UE's straight-set loss to DLSU.

Dongallo, who has recently shattered one rookie record after another, was held to her lowest scoring output thus far, which she chalked up to the stifling defense of the Lady Spikers.

As difficult as it was, Dongallo’s first encounter with La Salle in the UAAP was an experience to remember as she faced off with Canino for the first time.

Canino flaunted her all-around form of 17 points, nine digs, and seven receptions, leaving Dongallo awestruck.

“Magaling po si ate Angel. Magaling po siya,” gushed Dongallo, who struggled to find the words to describe La Salle’s main gunner.

Dongallo then recalled the times she came at the receiving end of Canino’s punch-packing hits.

Lahat po ‘yun puntos,” she shared.

For her part, Canino relished the experience of battling against the rookie sensation.

“It was fun.

Fans have certainly not seen the last of Dongallo and Canino trading blows, and their second encounter definitely must not be missed.
