The FEU Lady Tamaraws grabbed their third victory in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament after a clean straight-sets victory over the Adamson Lady Falcons.
Far Eastern University is back in the win column after taking down Adamson University in straight sets, 25-13, 25-22, 25-17, in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday, March 9.
Faida Bakanke led the charge for FEU with 14 points built on 13 attacks and one block, while also posting a 57% attack efficiency. Jean Tagaod and Gerzel Petallo added 12 markers apiece for the Lady Tamaraws in the victory.
Ayesha Juegos, meanwhile, was the leading scoring for Adamson with 10 points.
After going down 7-12 in the second frame, FEU went on a 6-0 run, powered by Tagaod and Bakanke, to snatch the lead and gain the momentum that fueled a crucial set win.
In the third set, the Lady Tamaraws continued on their strong starts once more as they built a four-point lead at 11-7.
FEU continued to build on its advantage as Alyzza Devosora sealed the comfortable victory after scoring back-to-back points, which were followed by an Adamson error.
With the win, the Lady Tamaraws snapped a two-game losing skid to move up to fourth in the standings with a 3-3 record, while the Lady Falcons slide to fifth at 2-3.
