National University grabbed its third-straight win after sweeping the University of the East, 25-14, 25-14, 25-12, in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday, April 3.
Riding momentum from their impressive four-set win over the University of Santo Tomas last March 24, the Lady Bulldogs demolished the Lady Warriors as they limited the Recto-based squad to just 14 points in the first and second sets, and just 12 in the third.
Alyssa Solomon led the way for NU with 14 markers on 11 attacks, one block, and one service ace.
Bella Belen added 13 points on eight attacks, four blocks, and one service to go along with 10 excellent receptions and 10 excellent digs for another strong all-around outing. The Lady Bulldogs improved to an 8-2 record with the win, moving closer to securing their Final Four spot.
Casiey Dongallo finished with just six points in UE's losing effort which moved them to a 2-7 record for seventh place in the standings.
