League-leading FEU aims for a fifth straight when the Tamaraws clash with the winless UE Red Warriors in the UAAP Season 87 men’s volleyball tournament, Wednesday, March 5 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

Match time is at 10:00 a.m.

Not even sickness could slow down the red-hot FEU squad after completing a four-set drubbing of the Ateneo Blue Eagles to stay unbeaten at 4-0 in their campaign.

Mikko Espartero and Dryx Saavedra each scored 21 points in that latest victory despite physical struggles their squad had to overcome.

In addition, FEU head coach Eddieson Orcullo called the shots using crutches as he underwent an operation for his left achilles.

“Actually, nag-undergo ang team sa struggle these past few days. May mga nagkasakit talaga pero nevertheless, with the guidance ni Lord, tapos ‘yung support sa amin, talagang ipinakita namin na kailangan namin itong game na ito kasi kung magpapabaya kami sayang ‘yung 3-0 standing namin,” Tamaraws deputy coach Rene Dulay revealed in the post-game press conference.

If everything is running smoothly in Morayta, the opposite is happening in Recto as the Red Warriors are the only team this tournament without a win behind a 0-4 record.
