Killing spree! AP.Bren, Mobile Legends haul honors in Philippine Esports Awards

The 2023 Philippine Esports Awards turned out to be a killing spree for esports organization AP.Bren, which took home six of the honors on Thursday.

In a night that solidified the hold of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) on the Filipino audience, AP.Bren just kept on farming at the GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium in the University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City.

The M5 world champion and MPL Philippines Season 12 titleholder was hailed 2023 Esports Organization of the Year and 2023 Esports Team of the Year.

"We hope that we can continue to walk this path with you to achieve even greater things!" AP.Bren posted on social media.

  

Several of the Hive's members also picked up awards.

AP.Bren captain Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel took home the Athlete of the Year award, as he led the Hive through multiple victories in the Land of Dawn.

EXP laner David Charles "FlapTzy" Canon bagged the Pro Mobile Athlete of the Year title.

Francis "Ducky" Glindro was hailed Coach of the Year, while Jeff "Bengzz" Victoriano was named Manager of the Year.

  

The M5 World Championship, which was held in the Philippines, was considered as Event of the Year.

This all but confirmed MLBB as Game of the Year, with MOONTON as Game Publisher of the Year.

Players from other titles were also heralded.

Christian "Revenge" Amores received the "Pro PC Athlete of the Year" award for showcasing stellar gameplay and sharp precision in CrossFire. He was also part of the SIBOL team which picked up bronze in the 2023 Southeast Asian Games.

Meanwhile, Tekken champion Alexandre "AK" Laverez was recognized as the Pro Console Athlete of the Year.
