If there's one thing June Mar Fajardo is definitely most proud of, it's this: He's a mama's boy.

Being a Dota boy is probably next.

The lovable San Miguel Beermen star has always credited his late mother, Marites Fajardo, who passed away in 2021, for all the success he's had in his illustrious career. Most recently, he won a memorable gold medal with Gilas Pilipinas in the Asian Games.

Of course, he was quite proud to show it off to his late mama, putting it beside her urn in Cebu.

"Gold medalist na akong Mama! Wish I could put this medal around your neck, Ma!" wrote Fajardo in his post on Instagram on Thursday.

We're not crying, you are.

The six-time PBA MVP put up a solid showing throughout the Asian Games, providing Gilas Pilipinas with the inside presence the squad needed against taller foes. It's safe to assume that Abai drew strength from his Mama Marites.

Fajardo's brothers in Gilas Pilipinas, including Chris Newsome, Chris Ross, Cjay Perez, Gabe Norwood, and Terrence Romeo all commented on his post to show love.

Being a proud mama's boy is just one of his JMF's endearing characteristics that has made him one of the most likable athletes in the country. He never fails to express gratitude to the people who made him who he is now. Especially his late mother.

For sure, Mama Marites is smiling in heaven and feeling proud of his gold medalist son. But perhaps more significantly, she should be proud of raising a person like June Mar.
