The Cignal HD Spikers are determined to turn things around as they face the unbeaten Creamline Cool Smashers in a highly-anticipated 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference showdown on Saturday, February 1, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

After opening the season with four straight wins, Cignal (5-2) has struggled to maintain its momentum following the sudden departures of team captain Ces Molina and middle blocker Riri Meneses.

Their recent four-set loss to PLDT exposed their ongoing adjustments, making them underdogs against the defending champions.

Despite the challenges, the HD Spikers remain resilient, banking on Vanie Gandler, who erupted for a conference-high 22 points in their last game, along with the steady contributions of Rose Doria-Aquino and setter Gel Cayuna.

Cayuna and Gandler are second and third among Best Servers in the conference with 0.38 and 0.33 per set, respectively.

Meanwhile, Ishie Lalongisip has also stepped up on both ends, delivering 12 points and 14 excellent digs in their previous outing.

New team captain Dawn Catindig remains steady on defense, ranking first among Best Diggers with 5.17 excellent digs per set.

Facing a dominant Creamline squad (6-0), Cignal will need to play its best volleyball to pull off an upset and prove it remains a legitimate contender.

With their backs against the wall, the HD Spikers are ready to fight when action begins at 6:30 p.m.
