A big opportunity for the big guy.
Two weeks after announcing his next step in basketball, Ange Kouame has finally arrived in France.
The Gilas Pilipinas center will join French club UB Chartres Metropole in Frances’s third tier league Nationale Masculine 1.
On Saturday, Kouame posted a photo on his Instagram Story showing a beautiful narrow street in France. It looks like he's already taking in the culture, as he continues his hoops career.

This is a huge opportunity for the 25-year-old Kouame, who has said that his goal is to play in the EuroLeague, which is widely considered the second-best basketball league in the world after the NBA.
Before his gig in France, the 6-foot-11 former UAAP MVP earned the country’s praise after helping Gilas Pilipinas claim gold in the Asian Games after a 61-year dry spell.
In the said competition, Kouame averaged 7.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.6 steals, and 1.1 blocks, saving his best for last in their championship game against Jordan.
Kouame, who has also expressed his desire to play for an MVP-backed team in the PBA, will definitely be a big boost for the French club looking to be promoted to the higher-tier league, LNB Pro B.
From the Ivory Coast to the Philippines to France, Kouame has been on a special basketball journey.
