Nostalgic vibes fill the air as Filipino basketball legends Marc Pingris, Jeff Chan, LA Tenorio, Gabe Norwood, Gary David, Ranidel de Ocampo, Marcus Douthit, Arwind Santos, and Beau Belga come together once more for their friendly exhibition match against the University of Calgary Dinos for the Gilas Legends Canada Tour.

Marc Pingris, popularly known as “Pinoy Sakuragi," shared some of their snaps with his former Gilas Pilipinas teammates.

“Samahan[g] walang kupas! #gilas2013 #puso #brotherhood #worldcup2014,” he captioned.

Brotherhood is forever etched in the hearts of Gilas Pilipinas, a testament to their enduring spirit forged through sweat, tears, and triumph.

Emotions surged as the Pinoy basketball icons recalled their battle cry, shouting “Puso” once again and reigniting their passion that defined their legacy.

It feels like yesterday when Gilas Pilipinas made history in the national men’s basketball scene after putting an end to a to a long losing skid against South Korea, scoring a sensational 86-79 victory in the semifinals of the 2013 FIBA-Asia Championships.

Gilas Pilipinas finished strong with a silver medal and booked a ticket to 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain, a first for the country after 36 years.

Their enduring legacy continue to illuminate the paths of the young guns of Gilas Pilipinas, as a fresh batch face an arduous battle in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Riga, Latvia, from July 4 to 7.
