Gilas Pilipinas top small forward Dwight Ramos is back in the thick of things in the Japan B. League. Levanga Hokkaido’s Asian import had been sidelined for a month due to an ankle injury, but he’s been moving better since he got activated on January 21. On his road to full recovery, and possibly another tour of duty with Gilas Pilipinas, Ramos decided to change things up.

On Thursday, the Facebook page of Japan's B.League posted several pictures of the versatile cager in action while rocking a new look. Particularly, Ramos got rid of his oppa hair style in favor of a buzz cut, or semi-kalbo in local parlance. Tres, that’s probably the length he chose for his new cut.

If the aero-dynamic look precedes a wonderful run by the 24-year-old Filipino hooper in Japan then Gilas is in luck. Team Philippines is hosting the sixth window of the FIBA Word Cup Asian Qualifiers, and they sure could benefit from fielding Ramos at his best.

Speaking of Dwight and the national team, should he make Chot Reyes’ final lineup this February, then he will have the distinction of being the only player to suit up in every game of every window for Gilas Pilipinas.

All things considered, St. Dwight still looks sharp with short hair. But what we really want to see is if buzz cut Dwight can play better than the guy with fluttering hair while running and jumping all over the floor.
