Squad goals: Sarina Bolden 'fangirls' over Filipinas teammate Jaclyn Sawicki

When not suiting up for the Philippine women’s national football team, Sarina Bolden and Jaclyn Sawicki are strutting their stuff in Australia’s A-League Women for the Western Sydney Wanderers FC and Western United FC, respectively. Expect no less from the Filipinas stalwarts as they continue to make their mark in The Land Down Under.

While thriving overseas, their biggest supporters are each other, of course.

After Western United’s 1-0 semifinal victory over Sydney FC on Saturday night, Bolden was seen on the stands going gaga over Sawicki, the winning team’s captain.

After asking for a few autographs for herself and her entourage, the PWNFT star striker asked her Filipinas teammate to give her some sugar.

“I am such a fan. Can I get a hug?” Bolden requested.

When Jaclyn obliged, Sarina went full fangirl mode.

“Oh my god. This just made my day. Oh my god,” she said giddily.

Sawicki, noticing that Bolden was partly joking, playfully grabbed a squirt bottle and tried to spray some water over the latter’s homemade “Jaclyn Sawicki posters.”

The Filipinas are obviously having the time of their lives. Why wouldn’t they? The PWNFT just came off an amazing group stage stint at the AFC Olympic Qualifying Tournament earlier this month, wherein Bolden scored his 20th goal for the national contingent. Sawicki meanwhile, just became part of history yet again as Western United clinched its first ever finals appearance in Australia’s premier women’s football division.
