The former UP Fighting Maroon was a guest in Isko Moreno’s YouTube show.
After being embroiled in various controversies, Ricci Rivero now looks more a celebrity than a basketball player.
But in an interview in former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno's YouTube show Iskovery Night, Rivero bared the ball is rolling as far as his next step in basketball is concerned.
Is he finally throwing his name in the PBA Draft? Rivero didn’t give a definite answer.
“Ngayon po 'di pa po namin sure. Pinaguusapan po ng family at management kung ano magiging next step,” he said.
Since being released by Taiwan team Taoyuan Pilots last year due to injury, Rivero agreed to play for Blackwater Red Bossing in the PBA 3x3 tournament.
But the interview with Yorme didn’t really revolve around basketball. Eventually, the topic dove into love life.
The former UP Fighting Maroon, who was confronted with cheating allegations involving ex-girlfiend Andrea Brillantes, was asked about his greatest lesson in relationships.
“As long as alam mong nasa tama ka o nasa totoo ka, wala ka naman kailangan i-regret. Wala kang babalikan na dapat ganito ka, dapat ganyan,” he said.
“Basta dun ka lang sa alam mong tama, nasa totoo ka. Mas OK din ‘yung wala masyadong taong involved sa relationship kasi mas wala ring mangingialam.”
As expected, Moreno asked Rivero about his ideal girl.
“Matured, simple, family-oriented, and may takot sa Diyos,” he said, while Moreno nodded in agreement.
From being asked to the Star Magic prom during a Blackpink concert in Manila to getting accusations of having a third party, there were a lot going on in the love department for Rivero.
But fans hope to hear more basketball news from him these days.
