Not known for their football program,  the Adamson Soaring Falcons are slowly making a name in the field.

The squad from San Marcelino, Manila took the Ang Liga Season 18 by storm claiming the tournament title and overturning the program within months. They beat UAAP perennial contenders Ateneo Blue Eagles, 2-0 at the UP Diliman Football Field.

Adamson finished dead last in the UAAP Season 85 men’s football tournament, finishing with 10 losses, two draws, and no wins, that’s why coach Darlton Digha is ecstatic and optimistic about the team’s recent success.

"This is huge for the Adamson University community," Digha said. "This is the first major trophy the football team is bringing to the Nest."

Adamson will want to prove that their victory is not a fluke as they head into the UAAP Season 86 tournament.

The Soaring Falcons are looking to claim the university’s first football title.

"I believe in preparation! You will still see us working hard for the upcoming UAAP as we have done the past six months," Digha said. " We are proud of what we have achieved in Ang Liga but we understand as a team there’s still work to be done."
