To move on is to forgive.

Rhenz Abando returned to the Anyang lineup Sunday, leading the KBL champion Red Boosters to a much-needed win over the Goyang Sono Skygunners.

It was the first game for Abando since late December, or since he suffered a nasty spinal injury ironically against the Skygunners.

Rhenz had a nasty fall after he had contact with Goyang import Chinanu Onuaku. The incident caused so much uproar that the KBL later issued a ?3 million fine Onuaku.

During Sunday’s clash, Abando and Onuaku met and seemingly made amends.

“Onuaku said, ‘I’m sorry… it wasn’t intentional,” Abando said, via the East Asia Super League.

“And I responded that I had no personal feelings,” Rhenz added.

Abando’s return should be a big boost for Anyang, and while the team’s hopes for a KBL title repeat are all but lost, the team still has the EASL championship to defend.

The Red Boosters are in the EASL Final Four slated March 7-10 in Lapu-Lapu City, where they will take on rival Seoul SK Knights in the semifinals.
