With the Incheon Korean Air Jumbos securing a four-peat in South Korea's V-League, Marck Espejo can now also call himself as a professional volleyball champion.
Marck Espejo joins an exclusive club of Filipino champion players abroad.
Espejo has his first professional volleyball championship, after the Incheon Korean Air Jumbos completed a four-peat in South Korea’s V-League.
The Air Jumbos took the title after beating the Ansan OK Financial Group Tuesday, 27-25, 16-25, 21-25, 25-20, 15-13, sweeping the best-of-5 series.
Espejo’s title win slots him in the champions club that already includes Bryan Bagunas, Ced Domingo, and Jaja Santiago.
Bagunas is back-to-back TVL champion in Taiwan, Domingo is VTL champion in Thailand, and Jaja is a former V-Cup champion in Japan.
Espejo, who signed with Incheon last year after a perfect run with Cignal in the Spikers’ Turf Open Conference, appeared in 23 games for the Air Jumbos.
His totals were 111 points, built from 90 attacks, eight blocks, and 13 service aces.
