De La Salle are eager for a quick turnaround as the Green Spikers tangle with the surging Ateneo Blue Eagles in their second round meeting of the UAAP Season 87 men’s volleyball tournament, Wednesday, April 2, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City.

The Taft-based squad also look to cool off the Blue Eagles, who are now the hottest team as of late carrying a three-game winning streak.

DLSU failed to build off their upset triumph over the four-time NU Bulldogs after bowing down to UST in their last game.

Even Noel Kampton’s career-high 30-point explosion could not lead the Green Spikers to back-to-back wins, instead dropping to 5-4 and a share of fourth place with the Golden Spikers.

No other player from DLSU reached double-digit scoring as Vince Maglinao was the next highest scorer with eight markers. Eco Adajar tossed 24 excellent sets while libero Menard Guerrero posted 15 excellent receptions.

Against Ateneo, the Green Spikers aim for their fourth successive win and second-straight season sweep of their rivals.

Tip-off is at 9:00 a.m.
