June Mar Fajardo is not done winning, but his legacy is already cemented his legacy with his inclusion in the PBA’s 50 Greatest.
“Proud ako sa sarili ko.”
This was June Mar Fajardo’s reaction when he learned he was included in the PBA’s 50 Greatest Players Wednesday, April 2.
Despite hauling eight Most Valuable Player trophies so far in his 13 years of playing in the league, the San Miguel superstar expressed his joy to be among elite company but added he never expected this kind of recognition.
“Siyempre, happy ako. Hindi ko naman ini-expect na mapasali ako sa greatest pero God’s plan talaga,” Fajardo told One Sports via text message.
The 10-time PBA champion joins the likes of Nelson Asaytono, Jeff Cariaso, Bong Hawkins, Scottie Thompson, Manny Victorino, Arvin Tualdes, Yoyoy Villamin, Abe King and Danne Seigle.
From the looks of it, it seems Fajardo is not done breaking barriers and reaping awards just yet.
A winner of the Best Player of the Conference award in the PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup last year, Fajardo is automatically a candidate for a potential ninth MVP award.
