LIVE UPDATES: PBA reveals 10 new members for 50 Greatest Players

In time for the historic 50th season, the PBA is adding 10 more names to officially make it the 50 Greatest Players in league history.

NELSON ASAYTONO

Nelson Asaytono played 17 seasons in the PBA, starting out in 1989 and suiting up all the way to 2006.

Asaytono is a 7-time PBA champion and is no. 5 in the all-time scoring list.

JEFFREY CARIASO


A PBA Grand Slam champion with Alaska, Jeffrey Cariaso played 15 seasons in the PBA before retiring in 2010.

In total, he has eight PBA titles and was a former PBA Finals MVP, Best Player of the Conference, and Rookie of the Year.


JUNE MAR FAJARDO


Still active with the San Miguel Beermen, June Mar Fajardo has 10 PBA titles to his name.

Arguably the most dominant force in the PBA, Fajardo has an unprecedented 11 Best Player of the Conference awards and eight Most Valuable Player awards. He also won Comeback Player of the Year in 2021, coming back after a complete fracture on his tibia.


BONG HAWKINS


Another member of Alaska’s Grand Slam team, Bong Hawkins is an 8-time PBA champions and was Finals MVP in the 1996 Commissioner’s Cup.

Hawkins was PBA Most Improved Player in 1994 and played for 14 seasons in the league.


ABE KING


Abe King played 18 seasons in the PBA for teams like Toyota, San Miguel, Presto and Purefoods, winning 13 PBA championships.

King accumulated over 5,000 points, and 3,000 rebounds for his career.


DANNY SEIGLE


Danny Seigle played for 17 seasons with San Miguel, Air21, Barako Bull, and TNT.

One of the most explosive scorers in PBA history, Seigle is an 8-time PBA champion, 4-time Finals MVP, 2-time Best Player of the Conference, and was 1999 Rookie of the Year. He was also the 2006 Comeback Player of the Year after overcoming a tough knee injury.


SCOTTIE THOMPSON


Currently suiting up for Ginebra, Scottie Thompson was PBA Most Valuable Player in 2021.

One of the most loved superstars in the PBA today, Thompson is a 7-time champion and a 2-time PBA BPC, on top of being the PBA Most Improved Player in 2018.


ARNULFO TUADLES


Arnulfo Tuadles won nine PBA titles in 14 seasons while playing for teams like Toyota, Ginebra, Alaska, Shell, and Presto.

He was the Rookie of the Year in 1979 and had over 5,000 career points.


MANUEL VICTORINO


Manuel Victorino was PBA Most Improved Player in 1984, on top of being a 6-time PBA champion.

Victorino played 15 seasons, suiting up for the likes of Presto, Shell, Ginebra, and Purefoods.


ELPIDIO VILLAMIN


Elpidio Villamin was a Grand Slam champion with Crispa in 1983, and in total won nine PBA titles.

Villamin played for 17 seasons, also winning Comeback Player of the Year in 1995.
